Hey!

I’m Mark Loftin, and I’m addicted to travel – and especially, road trips. After a few years of writing travel stories and posting photos on sites like The Argonauts, DesertUSA, Instagram, Twitter, Google maps and my other website, I decided to create a blog to document my travels and encourage others to explore the open road.

I also like to hit the trails on bike and foot.  Some of my favorite mountain bike trails include California’s Downieville Classic, Colorado’s Trail 401, Oregon’s McKenzie River and Utah’s Thunder Mountain.  Favorite hikes include Mt. Whitney, Grand Canyon’s Bright Angel, Zion’s Angel’s Landing, Glacier’s Ptarmigan Tunnel and California’s Lost Coast.

I am also a financial advisor and drummer in a West Coast rock band.
